Part-time Reference Librarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer reference and research assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

• Aid students in addressing their research inquiries.

• Conduct personalized consultations.

• Facilitate webinars and instructional sessions.

• Provide remote support via chat, text, phone, email, and virtual appointments.

• Contribute to creating an outstanding online library experience that fosters student success.

• Assist students throughout their academic journeys by offering library services and research support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.

• Over 3 years of professional experience as a librarian.

• Proficient in reference, research, and customer service skills.

• Prior experience in academic libraries and/or online library services is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and technological skills.

• Familiarity with Springshare LibAnswers is advantageous.

• Availability from Sunday to Thursday.

• Available until 8:00 PM Pacific on Sundays.

• Available until 9:00 PM Pacific from Monday to Thursday.

• Must be able to work hours within the Pacific Time Zone.
