Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform psychiatric assessments

• Create and implement treatment plans

• Prescribe medication in accordance with New Jersey regulations

• Monitor patients' medication responses and any side effects

• Manage prescription refills and address patient inquiries

• Keep up-to-date electronic medical records

• Engage in virtual case reviews

• Collaborate with the medical director and clinical team

• Offer psychiatric mental health and substance use services

• Support planned Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and residential placements as per a separate coverage agreement

• Aim to conduct approximately five patient appointments per clinical day as an initial planning goal

• Finalize documentation and complete follow-up tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid New Jersey RN license

• APN certification in the relevant psychiatric/mental health specialty

• Current PMHNP board certification

• New Jersey prescribing authority with necessary practice arrangements

• Required DEA and New Jersey controlled substance credentials for assigned medications

• Experience in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, electronic record-keeping, and telehealth

• Proficiency with the designated patient age groups

• Eligibility for enrollment with applicable payers

• Proper malpractice insurance arrangements prior to engagement

• Preferred: experience in outpatient addiction treatment, IOP, or residential programs

• Preferred: experience with child and adolescent patients if supporting those age groups

• Preferred: familiarity with New Jersey Medicaid
