Part time Math Competition Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct individualized online math lessons concentrating on preparation for the AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions.

• Instruct in English utilizing interactive and problem-solving techniques.

• Assist students in navigating competition-style questions while clarifying essential concepts and strategies employed in math competitions.

• Aid students in forming systematic methods for tackling number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry.

• Help students cultivate confidence and develop effective test-taking skills.

• Offer prompt feedback and focused guidance to enhance student comprehension and foster continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher; preferred majors include Math, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Prior experience in math competitions or relevant teaching/tutoring experience in competition settings is highly desirable.

• A solid foundation in mathematics; familiarity with competitions like AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is advantageous.

• Availability to work during weekday evenings and weekends.

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
