Part-Time Intern – ESOP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive research on the industry, market, and specific companies to assess, validate, and enhance assumptions, benchmarks, and conclusions.

• Evaluate and interpret intricate financial statements, identifying trends, risks, and value drivers that influence valuation results.

• Formulate due diligence inquiries and assess relevant supporting documentation.

• Create and analyze detailed financial models, such as Discounted Cash Flow, Guideline Public Company, and Merger and Acquisition models.

• Choose suitable valuation methods and key assumptions using independent judgment and discretion.

• Engage in discussions with clients or management, offering meaningful insights on valuation methods, assumptions, and conclusions.

• Produce thorough deliverables and supporting analyses, including presentations, analysis packages, and written narratives.

• Collaborate with Stout professionals, senior-level staff, and clients.

• Assume responsibility for significant workstreams and add value to client engagements.

• Work alongside colleagues and clients to address complex challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree (junior or senior year preferred).

• Preferred coursework in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

• Strong academic performance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Excellent analytical, verbal, technical, and written communication skills.

• Capability to interpret complex financial data and distill findings into clear, actionable insights.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in presenting complex information and cultivating strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship both at the time of hire and in the future.
