Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural locations to install and service devices at farm sites, typically ranging from 1 to 50 in a single day.

• Sanitize tires and boots at farm locations in accordance with biosecurity protocols.

• Ascend feed bins that measure between 10 to 40 feet in height.

• Set up sensors and small solar panels within site bins; installations generally take between 10 to 15 minutes.

• Diagnose and resolve basic issues on field devices that require servicing.

• Follow biosecurity guidelines for every farm location.

• Keep precise records of mileage and timesheets.

• Oversee and manage inventory at home and commute to farms from the residence.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma is required.

• Certification for working at heights, with comprehensive knowledge of fall protection equipment usage.

• Clean driving history with the capability to drive 8 to 10 hours daily.

• Reliable smartphone and basic proficiency in its use, including taking simple measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

• Positive outlook and a service-oriented mindset.

• Strong work ethic, high personal standards, and respect for others.

• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.

• Capable of working in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit to climb and lift over 50 lbs.

• Experience with heights, power tools, or electronics is advantageous.
