Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural locations to install and service devices on farms, with a range of 1 to 50 installations in a single day.

• Sanitize tires and boots at farm sites in accordance with biosecurity protocols.

• Scale feed bins that are between 10 and 40 feet high.

• Set up sensors and small solar panels within site bins; installations generally take 10 to 15 minutes.

• Diagnose basic issues with field devices that require servicing.

• Follow biosecurity guidelines for each farm site.

• Oversee and manage inventory from home.

• Keep precise records of mileage and time worked.

• Commute from home to farms in various regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.

• Certification for working at heights, along with a thorough knowledge of fall protection equipment usage.

• A clean driving record and the capability to drive for 8 to 10 hours daily.

• A reliable smartphone and basic proficiency in its use, including taking simple measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and proficiency in English.

• A positive demeanor and a service-oriented mindset.

• A robust work ethic with high personal standards and respect for others.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Capable of working in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit to climb and lift objects weighing over 50 lbs.

• Previous experience working at heights.

• Familiarity with power tools.

• Background in working with electronics.
