Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural locations to install and service devices at farm sites, with a range of 1-50 installations per day.

• Sanitize tires and boots at farm locations in compliance with biosecurity protocols.

• Ascend feed bins that are between 10 to 40 feet high.

• Set up sensors and small solar panels within site bins, with each installation typically taking 10–15 minutes.

• Diagnose and resolve basic issues on field devices that require servicing.

• Follow biosecurity regulations for each farm location diligently.

• Keep precise records of mileage and timesheets.

• Oversee and manage inventory from home and commute to farms from your residence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.

• Certification for working at heights, along with comprehensive knowledge of fall protection equipment use.

• A clean driving record with the capability to drive for 8 - 10 hours per day.

• A reliable smartphone, with fundamental skills in its use and the ability to take basic measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and proficiency in English.

• A positive attitude and a service-oriented mindset.

• A solid work ethic with high personal standards and respect for others.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Capability to work in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit to climb and lift objects exceeding 50 lbs.

• Experience with working at heights.

• Familiarity with power tools.

• Background in working with electronic devices.
