Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural locations to install and service devices on farms, handling between 1 and 50 installations in a single day.

• Sanitize tires and boots at farm sites in compliance with biosecurity protocols.

• Ascend feed bins that vary in height from 10 to 40 feet.

• Set up sensors and small solar panels within bins, with each installation generally taking around 10 to 15 minutes.

• Diagnose and resolve basic issues on field devices that require servicing.

• Follow biosecurity guidelines specific to each farm location.

• Keep precise records of mileage and timesheets.

• Manage and maintain inventory at home, as well as travel to farms from the home base.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Certification for working at heights, with a comprehensive understanding of fall protection equipment usage.

• Clean driving history with the capacity to drive for 8 to 10 hours daily.

• Dependable smartphone with fundamental knowledge of its functionality and ability to take basic measurements.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions, with proficiency in English.

• Positive demeanor and a service-oriented mindset.

• Strong work ethic, high self-standards, and respect for others.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Capability to work in various weather conditions.

• Physically capable of climbing and lifting over 50 pounds.

• Experience working at heights.

• Familiarity with power tools.

• Background in working with electronics.
