Part-Time Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Travel to rural locations to install and service devices at farm sites, with a daily range of 1–50 installations.

• Sanitize tires and footwear at locations in accordance with biosecurity protocols.

• Ascend feed bins that range in height from 10 to 40 feet.

• Install sensors and small solar panels within bins, with installation times typically between 10–15 minutes.

• Diagnose and resolve basic issues on field devices that require servicing.

• Follow biosecurity regulations for each farm site.

• Keep precise records of mileage and time worked.

• Manage and maintain inventory at home and during travel to farms from the home base.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Certification for working at heights, including a thorough understanding of fall protection equipment usage.

• Clean driving record with the capability to drive 8 to 10 hours daily.

• Dependable smartphone with fundamental knowledge of its use and basic measurement capabilities.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with customers, along with proficiency in English.

• Positive attitude with a service-oriented mindset.

• Strong work ethic and a commitment to high standards for oneself and respect for others.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.

• Capacity to work in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit enough to climb and lift objects over 50 pounds.

• Prior experience working at heights.

• Familiarity with power tools.

• Experience with electronics.
