Part Time Faculty – Primary Care, Maturing and Aged Family

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Instruct students enrolled in the MSN program as a part-time online visiting professor.

• Teach NR-601: Primary Care of the Maturing and Aged Family Practicum.

• Enhance students' understanding of health-assessment principles relevant to family nurse practitioner practice.

• Educate on prevalent health issues and healthcare requirements of middle-aged and older adults and their families.

• Assist students in exploring, analyzing, applying, and evaluating chronic health conditions within a primary care context.

• Cultivate students' competencies in patient education, protocol formulation, follow-up, and referral through a clinical practicum.

• Engage in instruction within precepted primary-care settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from AANP or ANCC.

• Clinical experience as an FNP with a solid foundation in primary adult care.

• Required to possess a DNP, PhD, EdD, or another applicable doctoral degree.

• An active, unencumbered Compact RN nursing license is highly preferred.

• Must either have a temporary Illinois RN License or be willing to secure one at personal expense before November 2026.

• A robust background in Internal Medicine is essential.

• Exceptional communication, motivational, and instructional abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with WebEx/Teams or similar platforms and internet tools.

• Capability to utilize Canvas, ExamSoft, iHuman, and CORE ELMS interfaces.
