Part-time Faculty, Master of Nursing – Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver didactic and/or clinical instruction online to students efficiently.

• Design and implement an engaging “classroom” experience via Zoom that fosters the learning of course/program objectives and equips students to become competent, entry-level Nurse Practitioners.

• Actively involve students utilizing diverse teaching methods.

• Assess students in both classroom and clinical environments using effective educational methods and tools.

• Grade assignments and address student inquiries within 48 hours of assignment submission.

• Respond to student inquiries via email within 24 hours of receipt to provide timely feedback on questions and concerns.

• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty through both verbal and written channels.

• Prioritize student-centered learning across all curriculum aspects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or Doctor of Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

• Active, current, and unencumbered PMHNP state license in either Texas or California required within 6 months of employment.

• A minimum of two years of current experience in a PMHNP role, including diagnosing and treating patients in a clinical setting.

• National board certification specific to PMHNP.

• Experience in online higher education.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining courses.
