Part Time Backup Care Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Interact directly with members to comprehend and address their backup care needs.

• Identify and engage dependable vendors to satisfy member requests.

• Broaden the Care Network by forming connections with local providers, including private caregivers.

• Oversee the comprehensive process of delivering immediate and sustainable care solutions to families.

• Ensure at least one viable backup care solution is identified for each member within 4–6 hours of the request.

• Collaborate with Care Operations to implement and enhance best practices.

• Solve problems in real-time scenarios.

• Independently and confidently manage shift schedules.

• Assist in the expansion of local resources within the Wellthy Care Network and multitask during periods of low volume.

• Report directly to a Care Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in childcare and/or senior care, specifically in backup care.

• A proven history of delivering effective support to families in need.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for direct engagement with members.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to act with urgency.

• Confidence in managing shift schedules and exhibiting independence.

• Familiarity with the local care provider landscape, encompassing licensed providers, private caregivers, and other potential members of a Backup Care Circle.

• Capability to identify and engage reliable vendors and local providers to meet member requests.

• Proficient in using innovative strategies for sourcing appropriate backup care solutions.

• Willingness to work closely with Care Operations and other team members to implement and enhance best practices.

• A strong internet connection, a quiet space for calls, and a professional distraction-free remote work environment.

• Ability to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or child development is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, though not required.
