This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Provide legal and regulatory support to the legal team for various activities including investigations, appeals, hearings, external stakeholder requests, and administrative duties.
• Draft responses to congressional inquiries, FOIA requests, RFIs/RFAs, and manage external communications.
• Review, verify, and finalize documentation for witnesses related to administrative hearings.
• Assess discovery requests and delegate staff for responses and document gathering.
• Participate in administrative hearings and create written summaries of proceedings.
• Compose legal documents such as FOIA responses and rebuttals for payment suspensions.
• Identify relevant documents and custodians for litigation holds and FOIA inquiries.
• Manage the collection of pertinent documents and keep records of active requests.
• Attend meetings, organize case files, and offer administrative assistance.
• Contribute to process enhancements and efficiency initiatives.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• 2 - 4 years of experience is required; 5 - 7 years is preferred.
• A paralegal certificate is preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screenings is essential.
• Completion of all necessary security, IT, and compliance training is required.
• Ability to organize and prioritize individual work and projects in collaboration with management.
