This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Provide assistance to clients involved with the FEMA Public Assistance Program and/or other specialized initiatives.
• Aid local governments and private non-profits in their recovery from natural disasters through federal funding programs, particularly the FEMA PA program.
• Gather documentation such as damage assessments, financial records, facility upkeep logs, and other pertinent information.
• Help clients verify that expenses are eligible for funding in accordance with FEMA PA policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to support project development efforts, including the creation of FEMA PA Project Worksheets (PWs).
• Participate in additional recovery efforts outside of the FEMA PA program as assigned.
• Work remotely, travel occasionally to client locations, or potentially undertake longer-term travel assignments depending on project needs.
• This position is intended for consideration in the internal Recovery Cadre pipeline rather than for immediate employment.
• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting or in a role that directly supports the FEMA PA Program.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, political science, public policy, emergency management, business administration).
• Prior experience with financial analysis and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
