P2P Appeals Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contact payers to arrange Peer to Peer discussions with CorroHealth Medical Directors

• Reach out to payers concerning cases that have surpassed the scheduled time for Peer to Peer

• Record payer call details in CorroHealth’s proprietary system

• Update account status across various databases

• Assist with case entry, Peer to Peer, and appeals processes within the department

• Operate independently while also collaborating within a team environment

• Allocate approximately 90% of the workday to phone communication

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred

• Experience in a call center is advantageous

• Familiarity with denial processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Managed Care product lines is beneficial

• Previous experience accessing hospital EMRs and payer portals is a plus

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel applications

• Capable of using Excel functions for addition, subtraction, and multiplication

• Competent in copying and pasting within cells and creating multiple worksheets in a workbook

• Accurate typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask across various screens and applications

• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative

• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team

• Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment

• Must maintain confidentiality of client and sensitive information

• Strict compliance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations is essential

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST

• Must reside within the United States
