Overnight Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead, inspire, and guide a small overnight team.

• Oversee daily service delivery and operational management.

• Provide line management and developmental support to team members.

• Evaluate performance and ensure service quality.

• Assist with scheduling and workforce management.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous staff development.

• Establish strong relationships with health professionals and partner organizations.

• Offer direct support to callers facing mental health challenges.

• Advocate for recovery-oriented practices and uphold Rethink's values.

• Execute the role of Mental Health Triage Helpline Worker.

• Take on shift lead/management responsibilities for up to 3 Mental Health Recovery Workers or support staff.

• Collaborate closely with the Service Manager and Deputy Manager.

• Provide listening and emotional support, practical advice, de-escalation, signposting, referrals, self-help encouragement, and follow-up support when appropriate.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in mental health, wellbeing, or crisis support services.

• Background in supporting, coaching, or supervising staff.

• Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities.

• Capacity to remain calm and supportive in difficult situations.

• Dedication to recovery-focused, person-centered support.

• Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.

• Enthusiasm for enhancing the lives of individuals affected by mental illness.

• Enhanced DBS clearance for working with Adults.

• Availability to work from 12:00am to 8:00am, 5 shifts per week.

• Willingness to work one full weekend every 4 weeks.

• Flexibility to work on bank holidays.

• No annual leave allowed during the Christmas and New Year period; the rota requires three 4-hour shifts in addition to regular hours during this time.
