Overnight Mental Health Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based crisis intervention services.

• Offer brief supportive counseling to clients.

• Implement suicide prevention strategies.

• Provide information and referral services as needed.

• Conduct follow-up services for individuals reaching out to the Helpline Center through 988.

• Assist individuals facing emotional distress, substance use challenges, or suicidal thoughts.

• Communicate with clients via telephone, SMS text messaging, and/or web chat.

• Work overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, either Sunday through Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday.

• Utilize a comprehensive range of clinical skills and behavioral health expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Prior experience in mental health counseling or crisis intervention is strongly preferred.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in the use of computers and various software applications.

• Strong keyboarding abilities are necessary.
