Outside Loan Originator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Identify and acquire mortgage leads

• Establish and nurture business relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources

• Assess potential loan markets and create referral networks to identify loan prospects

• Promote CCM products and services to both individuals and firms

• Meet with applicants to collect loan application details and clarify process-related inquiries

• Evaluate applicants' financial situations, credit histories, and property assessments to determine loan viability

• Clarify available loan options, credit alternatives, and service terms

• Compile comprehensive loan applications along with necessary supporting documentation

• Notify applicants of any additional requirements and enhance applications and documentation

• Address customer inquiries and respond to requests

• Manage and resolve customer complaints effectively

• Maintain communication with real estate agents or referral sources

• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to address mortgage application issues

• Stay informed about the industry through educational resources, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations

• Engage in mortgage sales initiatives, including closings, open houses, CCM seminars/trainings, and other lead-generating events

⛳️ Requirements

• NMLS License is mandatory as per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008

• Familiarity with retail product philosophy, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems

• Proven experience in proactively seeking new business

• Experience with Encompass is preferred

• Understanding of mortgage products and programs

• Strong analytical skills to assess credit requests and identify trends within the marketplace

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities

• Proficient with standard software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
