This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the comprehensive preparation of complex outage events from initiation to completion, which includes developing outage schedules, planning labor/tooling/cost, managing customer relations, mobilization planning, executing JCE, and closing out events.
• Take ownership of onsite execution as the site lead with large teams during designated outages, ensuring that Fulfilment-5 goals and requirements are achieved.
• Manage job cost monitoring, productivity, execution risk/FMEA, and NU/Service warranty.
• Enhance on-time delivery, control outage costs, and boost productivity; maintain precise tracking files and manage man-hour costs and pacing effectively.
• Lead the development of project quotations, which involves assessing work scope, checking site conditions, and conducting preliminary safety and risk analyses.
• Assist customer operations during the shutdown, startup, running, and performance testing of turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Prepare, utilize, review, store, and deliver execution documentation, including Field Procedures, Quality Procedures, EHS, and Customer Outage Reports.
• Utilize web-based systems for labor, tooling, vendor management, planning, allocation, preparation, and forecasting.
• Respond swiftly to forced outages/emergencies, investigate and escalate site issues, and restore units to operational status.
• Support the Customer Service Leader with technical communication to customer personnel during the outage execution.
• Enhance and optimize existing processes while identifying opportunities for simplification.
• Work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform additional duties in support of FieldCore’s vision and organizational values.
• A Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or a High School Diploma / GED accompanied by 4 years of experience in the power generation sector.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience showcasing success/knowledge in gas/steam turbine or generator maintenance (as needed).
• A minimum of 3 years of specialized industry experience in gas/steam turbine generator and auxiliary system outage planning and execution.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Strong project management and planning capabilities (experience with Primavera scheduling tool is preferred).
• Proficient in PC usage and web applications, including advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels and external customers.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to influence others.
• Strong technical and maintenance expertise in gas/steam turbines and generators.
• An effective team leader in dynamic, energetic, and complex customer site environments.
• Capability to perform under high pressure and tight deadlines, demonstrating commitment and a process-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Competence in influencing stakeholders to fulfill customer and business requirements.
• FEP graduate.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Successful completion of a background investigation is required.
