Outage Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare, strategize, oversee execution, and conclude complex planned and emergent outage events for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.

• Develop outage schedules while planning labor, tooling, costs, customer meetings, mobilization, execution, and closeout processes.

• Serve as the onsite execution lead with large teams, ensuring that Fulfilment-5 goals and requirements are achieved.

• Monitor job costs and productivity while managing execution risks, FMEA, and NU/Service warranty.

• Enhance on-time delivery, outage costs, productivity, implementation, and tracking accuracy.

• Lead the development of project quotations, including work scope, site condition assessments, and safety and risk analyses.

• Provide support to customer operations during shutdowns, startups, running, and performance testing of turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.

• Prepare, review, store, and deliver execution documentation, such as Field Procedures, Quality Procedures, EHS, and Customer Outage Reports.

• Utilize web systems applications for labor, tooling, forecasting, and vendor management.

• Respond to forced outages and emergencies, investigate and escalate site issues, and restore units to operational status.

• Assist the Customer Service Leader with technical communication to customer staff.

• Streamline and enhance existing processes while performing additional tasks aligned with FieldCore’s vision and values.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or a High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of experience in the power generation industry.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience demonstrating success and knowledge in gas/steam turbine or generator maintenance.

• Minimum of 3 years of specialized industry experience in gas/steam turbine generator and auxiliary system outage planning and execution.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Strong project management and planning skills; familiarity with Primavera scheduling tool is preferred.

• Proficient in PC usage and web applications, including advanced Excel skills.

• Comprehensive technical and maintenance knowledge of gas/steam turbines and generators.

• FEP graduate.

• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as field assignments require.

• Some travel may be necessary.
