This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical execution of intricate OT network and systems projects.
• Act as the technical lead for small to medium-sized initiatives or specific workstreams.
• Create network designs and technical recommendations that meet client needs, including cybersecurity, system interfaces, reliability, and maintainability.
• Configure and resolve issues related to advanced firewalls, switching, VPNs, routing, servers, virtualization, storage, and recovery solutions.
• Lead the resolution of challenging network integration, communication, and server problems.
• Coordinate technical contributions across various disciplines.
• Assess project-specific cybersecurity risks and implement approved controls.
• Assist in project scoping, estimating, proposal creation, and business development efforts.
• Review network designs, configurations, test plans, and technical documentation for accuracy.
• Lead or facilitate factory acceptance testing, quality assessments, and resolution of technical issues.
• Mentor and support the onboarding process for less experienced administrators.
• Suggest enhancements to departmental tools, templates, procedures, and implementation methodologies.
• Keep abreast of industry practices and technological advancements.
• Establish trusted relationships with clients and effectively communicate technical risks, recommendations, and decisions.
• Provide support for SCADA and data historization solutions across diverse environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with progressive experience; an associate degree with significant network or systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, firewall management, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and secure OT network practices.
• Advanced understanding of physical and virtual server environments, including virtualization, storage, recovery, and associated infrastructure.
• Proven ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges and lead defined project tasks.
• Demonstrated capacity to mentor or offer technical guidance to less experienced professionals.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to cultivate positive relationships with clients and internal partners.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with engineering and other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• High attention to detail, strong time management skills, and accountability for quality and delivery commitments.
• Willingness to travel to client and project locations in the United States and Canada as necessary, subject to applicable work authorization and company travel policies.
• Commitment to responsibly adopting evolving technology and AI tools.
• Preferred: relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, Linux, ISC2, or similar credentials.
• Preferred: experience in electric utility, renewable energy, water, or other industrial settings involving SCADA devices or protective relays.
• Preferred: knowledge of NERC CIP requirements.
• Preferred: familiarity with industrial protocols and physical communication media, including DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, TCP/UDP, RS-232, RS-485, copper, and fiber.
• Preferred: experience with tools such as Cisco, SEL, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Antaira, Sierra Wireless, VMware, Hyper-V, Wireshark, Linux, Visio, PuTTY, and SolarWinds.
