Oracle MySQL Database Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute scalable architectures for MySQL databases.

• Offer practical expertise in MySQL installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.

• Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of databases.

• Create and oversee high availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design and best practices.

• Monitor the health, capacity, security, and availability of databases.

• Resolve complex issues related to production databases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in MySQL Database Administration/Architecture.

• Extensive hands-on experience with MySQL, SQL, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with MySQL Replication, InnoDB, HA/DR, and backup & recovery processes.

• Proven experience in database migration and upgrade initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure is advantageous.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and communication abilities.
