This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical assistance to federal client systems.
• Conduct daily maintenance for a Web/Oracle system architecture hosted in AWS.
• Oversee databases and configurations on database servers, Cloud One, or other authorized hosting environments.
• Ensure system configuration is maintained when third-party software is utilized.
• Update and monitor TCNOs and relevant NOTAMs associated with database support.
• Manage firewall access for mainframe/server connectivity.
• Coordinate release timelines with the PMO and interfacing partners.
• Implement new maintenance updates for client applications.
• Troubleshoot system anomalies.
• Create database strategies, monitor systems, and enhance performance and capacity.
• Anticipate future database needs.
• Adhere to DISA STIGs standards.
• Assemble software release packages for COTS migrations.
• Adjust database structures in accordance with approved software modifications.
• Maintain, update, and ensure the availability and usability of schemas, processes, and subprocesses required for Propulsion Actuarial Client Server reports.
• Facilitate backups, confirm the accuracy and completeness of restored data, and assist in backup restoration efforts.
• Prepare databases for CV&I, QT&E, performance, user-acceptance, and regression testing.
• Aid in audit compliance reviews through data requests and PBC responses.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts for database-related solutions.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
• A BA/BS degree is preferred; however, additional experience may be considered in lieu.
• A minimum of 3 years of DBA experience (Oracle) and infrastructure software development is required.
• At least 1 year of database management experience in an AWS Cloud environment (RDS).
• Over 3 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Oracle database replication.
• Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification is mandatory.
• Must possess an active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or OCI related technologies and tools is essential.
• Oracle Certified Professional for 11g or above is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Experience in an AGILE environment is beneficial.
• Experience in DevSecOps is a plus.
• Preference for experience with AWS Cloud One or AWS Gov Cloud.
