This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments.

• Oversee database health, performance, storage utilization, and availability across Production, UAT, QA, and Development environments.

• Manage RH Linux, Bash, Oracle RDBMS, Shibboleth SP, HTTPD, and JBoss AS.

• Design, maintain, and optimize intricate PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

• Conduct database performance tuning utilizing AWR Reports, ASH Reports, Explain Plans, SQL Trace, and Oracle performance tools.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to locking, blocking, deadlocks, memory usage, and query performance.

• Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Assist with database patching, upgrades, migrations, and refresh activities.

• Handle Oracle user accounts, roles, privileges, and database security measures.

• Monitor and manage tablespaces, storage usage, and database growth.

• Execute index analysis, SQL tuning, partitioning, and execution plan optimization.

• Support production incidents, problem management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plans (CAP).


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of practical experience in Oracle Database Administration.

• Proficient experience in PL/SQL Development and Optimization.

• Familiarity with Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c, or later.

• Strong comprehension of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning methodologies.

• Experience in administering RH Linux, Bash, Oracle RDBMS, Shibboleth SP, HTTPD, and JBoss AS.
