This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka, +1 more country.
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database instances that support IFS implementations.
• Carry out Oracle Database patching, which includes PSU, RU, and one-off patches.
• Plan and execute upgrades for Oracle Database.
• Configure and manage RMAN for backup and recovery processes.
• Conduct both planned and incident-driven restore and recovery activities for databases.
• Work with Oracle Database across both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Facilitate database migrations between production, testing, and development environments.
• Monitor the health of databases, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve performance-related issues.
• Optimize SQL queries and assist with performance tuning.
• Adjust parameters of the Oracle database to enhance performance and stability.
• Provide technical support at the database level for IFS Applications and IFS Cloud.
• Create and manage users and roles within IFS.
• Support IFS upgrades, deployments, and integrations from a database perspective.
• Collaborate with IFS consultants, middleware, and infrastructure teams.
• Provide support for both on-premise and cloud-based Oracle environments.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database and IFS Cloud.
• Practical experience in the installation and configuration of Oracle Database.
• Experience in Oracle Database patching, including PSU, RU, and one-off patches.
• Background in upgrading Oracle Database versions, such as from 12c to 19c.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN for backup and recovery, including restores and environment rebuilds.
• Experience in supporting database migrations between production and test/development environments.
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in adjusting Oracle database parameters for optimal performance and stability.
• Background in supporting enterprise applications from a database standpoint.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux platforms for Oracle Database.
• Understanding of production environments, system stability, and operational responsibilities.
• Proficient English communication skills in an international project setting.
