Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee OCI services, address alerts, and conduct initial assessment and resolution.

• Implement standard operating procedures while maintaining runbooks and knowledge documentation.

• Manage capacity, housekeeping duties, and regular platform health assessments.

• Administer users, groups, policies, dynamic groups, and access reviews adhering to least-privilege principles.

• Facilitate SSO/federation operations and access requests in compliance with governance.

• Operate VCNs, subnets, route tables, gateways, NSGs/security lists, and DRGs.

• Assist with VPN/FastConnect connectivity and handle DNS/load balancer operational tasks.

• Provision and support compute instances and instance pools.

• Manage patching processes and standard builds.

• Operate block, object, and file storage services, including backup, restoration, and retention policies.

• Configure and uphold logging, monitoring, alarms, and notifications.

• Participate in on-call or rostered support as required.

• Manage incidents to meet SLA and execute post-incident actions.

• Implement approved changes for patching, configuration, lifecycle, and decommissioning under change control.

• Coordinate maintenance windows and service communications.

• Support security remediation efforts, including hardening and key/secret rotation tasks as directed.

• Assist in collecting audit evidence and performing compliance checks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure operations with hands-on OCI administration.

• Strong understanding of OCI IAM concepts and policy management.

• Familiarity with cloud networking fundamentals, including routing, security measures, and private connectivity.

• Knowledge of monitoring/logging practices and operational troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Linux.

• Basic scripting abilities, such as Bash or Python, for operational tasks.

• Understanding of ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes.

• OCI certifications at Foundations or Operations/Architect associate level.

• Experience with Terraform/IaC for applying vetted modules and making minor updates.

• Background in supporting OKE/Kubernetes or load balancers in an operations role.

• Methodical approach to incident handling and effective communication under pressure.

• Strong attention to detail and disciplined adherence to change control.
