Operations Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for mission partners and stakeholders to identify warfighting gaps and requirements, translating these into a clear product vision and objectives.

• Collaborate with experts from joint and service components to ensure effective data integration for the benefit of warfighter utilization.

• Engage with a cross-functional team during prototype development to ensure that the final product aligns with warfighter needs.

• Operate within an agile framework, serving as a bridge between stakeholders, customers, and developers/engineers.

• Organize, coordinate, and carry out stakeholder engagements across 3–5 projects throughout all execution phases.

• Provide mentorship and leadership to a diverse team of professionals.

• Support the development and execution of a team strategy that aligns with customer requirements and directives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with 14 years or more of tactical, operational, and staff experience within the USAF; a Master’s degree and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience; or a PhD or JD with at least nine (9) years of experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in planning, directing, coordinating, and managing projects associated with Air Force Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation.

• TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

• Experience in a project management role within AF acquisition or the Intelligence Community, leading integrated teams comprised of engineers, analysts, and project management personnel.

• Three or more years of experience in R&D or rapid acquisition development projects.

• Proven experience in project integration.

• Experience in successfully transitioning projects from prototype to sustainment.

• Familiarity with deployed environments is essential.
