Operations Research Analyst III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical, analytical, and lifecycle assistance to the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (MEWSD)

• Provide support for U.S. Navy Electromagnetic Warfare, Decoy, and Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) systems

• Engage in cradle-to-grave processes, encompassing engineering, technology transition, installation, logistics, product support, testing and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, and repair

• Assess intricate operational and organizational difficulties

• Evaluate the utilization and distribution of personnel, funding, materials, equipment, and other resources

• Assist with strategic planning, forecasting, resource distribution, performance measurement, and scheduling

• Perform modeling, simulation, and what-if assessments

• Analyze supply chain, transportation, distribution, logistics, and operational workflows

• Create and assess alternative action plans for planning, optimization, and resource management

• Convert analytical insights into recommendations, reports, visualizations, and decision-support materials for technical and program leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Required Clearance: Secret

• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 10 years of professional experience

• Proven experience in integrating logistics, data science, reliability and maintainability engineering, and operations research

• Capability to apply mathematical, scientific, engineering, and analytical techniques

• Experience in collecting, validating, organizing, and analyzing large and complex datasets

• Proficiency in simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing models, stochastic-process models, and analytic hierarchy processes

• Background in developing mathematical and analytical models

• Familiarity with modeling, simulation, and what-if analyses

• Understanding of supply chain, transportation, distribution, logistics, and operational workflows

• Ability to establish and evaluate performance metrics and analytical measures

• Skill in interpreting analytical findings and generating recommendations, reports, visualizations, and decision-support materials
