Operations Research Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical, analytical, and lifecycle assistance to the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (MEWSD) for U.S. Navy Electromagnetic Warfare, Decoy, and SEWIP systems.

• Facilitate cradle-to-grave activities encompassing engineering, technology transition, installation, logistics, product support, testing and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, and repair.

• Utilize mathematical, scientific, engineering, and analytical techniques to assess intricate operational and organizational challenges.

• Evaluate the allocation of personnel, funding, materials, equipment, and other resources to enhance operational performance.

• Assist in strategic planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance measurement, and scheduling.

• Collect, validate, organize, and analyze extensive and complex datasets for data-driven decision-making.

• Implement simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing models, stochastic-process models, and analytic hierarchy processes.

• Create mathematical and analytical models of complex systems, processes, operational environments, and resource relationships.

• Perform modeling, simulation, and what-if analyses.

• Examine supply chain, transportation, distribution, logistics, and operational processes.

• Generate and assess alternative courses of action for planning, optimization, and resource management.

• Establish and evaluate performance measures and analytical metrics.

• Convert analytical findings into recommendations, reports, visualizations, and decision-support materials for technical and program leadership.

• Security Clearance Required: Secret.

• Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
