This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Collaborate with Advising Operations, Student Advising, and Student Support teams to enhance operational processes that aid in academic progress, persistence, retention, and degree completion.
• Assist in academic success initiatives, interventions, and proactive outreach efforts.
• Examine student academic, engagement, and both individual and aggregate data to uncover trends, obstacles, gaps, and opportunities for intervention.
• Establish meaningful metrics for student success and develop consistent methods for monitoring outcomes.
• Facilitate the integration and utilization of academic, advising, and student support data across various systems and departments.
• Create and document workflows, business processes, and operational guidelines.
• Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations.
• Convert academic and student success priorities into operational plans, workflows, technology specifications, and measurable outcomes.
• Ensure that reporting and operational processes deliver timely, accurate, and actionable information.
• Develop user documentation, training materials, and communication resources for technology solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret student support data.
• Transform complex data into actionable insights for department leaders and academic stakeholders.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators concerning advising, student support, projects, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure data and reporting processes are precise, consistent, and aligned with departmental requirements.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal education and training in a relevant field.
• Experience in operations analysis, project management, business analysis, process enhancement, higher education administration, student services, or similar fields.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven capability to translate business or operational needs into effective solutions.
• Familiarity with technology systems, data, reporting tools, or process automation.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in higher education (preferred).
• Familiarity with student information systems, CRM platforms, advising technologies, case-management systems, or other higher education technology (preferred).
• Experience with project management methodologies and change management (preferred).
• Background in developing dashboards, reports, or data visualizations (preferred).
• Experience with process mapping, workflow automation, or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
