This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the onboarding of reinsurance deals and transactions, overseeing the process from due diligence to closing and transitioning to standard business operations.
• Work collaboratively with counterparties, external partners, and internal teams including Information Technology, Finance, Operations, Actuarial, Investments, and New Business.
• Direct the systems and processes related to reinsurance operations, which encompass counterparty settlements, treaty reporting, controls, and financial reporting assistance.
• Manage reinsurance analysis and remittances, ensuring effective controls, tracking, and the management of outstanding receivables and payables to or from cedants.
• Spearhead initiatives aimed at defining the model reinsurance office, which includes overseeing gap project management, implementing solutions, and establishing KPIs.
• Supervise, mentor, and lead senior associates and associates.
• Foster continuous improvement and support the development of a high-performing team.
• Simplify, optimize, and document operational and integration processes along with corresponding playbooks.
• Oversee additional operational and strategic initiatives.
• A university degree is mandatory; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
• At least 7+ years of pertinent post-qualification experience in the re/insurance industry.
• In-depth knowledge of re/insurance transaction structures, processes, systems, and controls.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and STAT reporting standards.
• Proven experience in leading time-sensitive, client-facing projects with successful outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Strong project management, business acumen, and collaborative skills.
• Capability to lead, manage, and mentor senior associates and associates.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with diverse teams across various departments.
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
