Operational Excellence Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to senior and executive leaders on essential Operational Excellence priorities, enterprise performance risks, and intricate improvement opportunities.

• Convert business strategies into long-term Operational Excellence roadmaps, governance frameworks, standards, and execution priorities.

• Establish goals, methods, and strategies for critical assignments with enterprise-level accountability.

• Create and steer sustainable solutions utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, A3 Problem Solving, FMEA, root cause analysis, and other advanced methodologies.

• Anticipate risks in implementation, overcome obstacles, and assist leaders in making long-term enterprise decisions.

• Innovate new ideas, methods, frameworks, and standards in Operational Excellence.

• Assess technologies, automation, advanced analytics, and opportunities in process design.

• Define scalable best practices and reusable methodologies.

• Establish enterprise metrics, governance structures, and benefit-realization methods.

• Analyze operational and business data to uncover systemic trends, strategic risks, and opportunities.

• Convey recommendations, trade-offs, and outcomes to executive leaders and key decision-makers.

• Build formal networks across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, and other departments.

• Represent Westinghouse externally with customers, industry groups, professional associations, and stakeholders.

• Foster organizational capability through expert consultation, facilitation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Experience in advising senior leaders and managing complex initiatives with impact across multiple departments or locations.

• Proven track record in resolving critical operational challenges, shaping long-term strategies, and developing new methods or standards in situations with little precedent.

• Recognized authority in Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, process design, and operational performance enhancement.

• Proficient in using operational data, ERP systems, reporting tools, and data visualization to inform strategic decisions.

• Residing near a major airport.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Candidates must comply with applicable United States and comparable export control regulations.
