Online Teacher, JH Intro to Languages

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and conduct captivating, high-quality live lessons in JH Intro to Languages for a diverse, international student demographic.

• Employ teaching methodologies and digital tools to foster an interactive and supportive online learning environment.

• Evaluate student progress, offer targeted feedback, and modify teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.

• Organize and communicate course schedules, lesson materials, and assessment deadlines.

• Facilitate professional, interactive live sessions utilizing CGA’s online learning resources and technology.

• Assign homework, create and administer assessments, and provide constructive feedback.

• Create educational materials, including tests and exams, for CGA’s resource library.

• Oversee the online classroom on Canvas, managing assignments and assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience at the middle or junior high school level (Grades 6–8) in a school environment; tutoring experience is not applicable.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Languages, Linguistics, or a related discipline.

• Outstanding communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms.

• Enthusiasm for innovative, technology-driven education.

• Understanding of a US middle school/junior high curriculum.

• Awareness of age-appropriate teaching methods.

• A recognized teaching qualification is preferred, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license.

• Prior online teaching experience is preferred.
