Online Physics Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver tailored one-on-one online Physics tutoring sessions.

• Assist students ranging from middle school to college level.

• Provide tutoring in additional Science subjects such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, or general high school science.

• Potentially offer Math tutoring to enhance schedule flexibility.

• Conduct adaptable remote tutoring sessions for students throughout the United States.

• Complete the onboarding process and tutor activation in accordance with the staggered contract-signing timeline.

• Maintain ongoing communication and updates during the onboarding waiting period.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.

• At least 1 year of relevant teaching or tutoring experience in the U.S.

• Must have taught or tutored within the last 2 years.

• A minimum of 1 year of online tutoring experience.

• Strong grasp of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.

• In-depth subject matter expertise in Physics, with the capability to tutor additional Science subjects.

• Ability to tutor Science subjects from 6th grade to college level.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Availability during peak hours Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 PM ET is preferred to connect with more students; broader weekday and weekend availability is advantageous.

• Fast and reliable internet connection is essential.

• Computer or laptop equipped with a microphone and camera is required.

• A stylus pen is highly recommended for clear annotations.

• A quiet and professional working environment is necessary.

• Direct and professional teaching or tutoring experience with students; TA experience, peer tutoring, grading roles, SI positions, or lab assistant-only experience do not fulfill the requirements.
