Online High School ELA Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide tutoring to small groups of students within a school environment.

• Meet consistently with the same group of students multiple times each week during regular school hours throughout the academic term.

• Engage students through the use of manipulatives and online resources, including an interactive whiteboard.

• Analyze student assessment data to identify knowledge gaps.

• Implement the provided standards-aligned digital curriculum.

• Generate comprehensive reports for Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators regarding student performance.

• Work collaboratively with Instructional Specialists to enhance instructional methods and deliver exceptional tutoring services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must currently reside and be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Available to tutor for up to 10 hours weekly during school hours; schedule may vary slightly each semester.

• Able to adapt teaching methods as needed to maintain student engagement and comprehension.

• Proficient in English Language Arts (ELA).

• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.

• Possess a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.

• Teaching certification is not required.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience as an ELA Teacher or ELA Tutor in High School, Middle School, or Elementary Schools.
