This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver digital counseling and emotional wellbeing support to adults.
• Offer text-based online counseling or psychotherapy, support, and guidance within the iRespond clinical and operational framework.
• Evaluate and address the risks and needs of service users.
• Appropriately signpost and complete referrals.
• Manage a personal caseload.
• Provide structured therapeutic support and interventions for physical, emotional, and mental health issues and distress in both short- and mid-term contexts.
• Deliver digital structured therapeutic support for individuals facing complex mental health challenges.
• Operate within BACP or an equivalent professional ethical framework.
• Adhere to legal, regulatory, safeguarding, data protection, and internal policy requirements.
• Maintain precise case notes and records using authorized systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external professionals and services concerning safeguarding issues.
• Keep accurate shift-duty and activity information in the scheduling and rota system.
• Participate in and contribute to clinical supervision, clinical support, training, continuing professional development, team meetings, management supervision, and organizational meetings.
• Evaluate clinical work and performance against established work schedules and KPIs.
• Relevant professional qualification in Counseling at a minimum of level 4, recognized by BACP, UKCP, NCS, or an equivalent body.
• Registration with BACP (MBACP reg.) or equivalent recognized UK counseling and psychotherapy awarding body registration (NCS, UKCP, COSCA).
• Eligibility for accreditation in counseling or psychotherapy at diploma level (minimum level 4) or higher.
• At least 450 hours of supervised clinical practice.
• Three years of post-qualifying experience as a qualified and clinically supervised Counselor/Psychotherapist.
• Three years of post-qualifying experience providing counseling and/or mental health support to adults aged 18+ in both face-to-face and digital environments.
• Experience in conducting risk and needs assessments, referrals, and short-term and long-term counseling/psychotherapy.
• Background in risk management interventions.
• Familiarity with adult safeguarding and child protection, including knowledge of relevant policies and legislation.
• Experience in providing effective engagement and immediate support to adults in distress.
• Capability to work remotely with reliable broadband, a safe home-working environment, and proficient technology use.
• Outstanding time management skills and ability to handle both a clinical caseload and administrative responsibilities.
• Availability for a minimum of 30 hours per week across 4- or 6-hour shifts, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Awareness of social, environmental, and economic factors that impact mental health.
• Resilience and empathy in supporting individuals in distress.
• Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion issues in practice.
• Openness to learning about mental health issues and psychological change theories.
• Belief in the importance of measuring outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Successful enhanced DBS check required.
