Online Adjunct Professor, Economics/Mathematics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver online classes as required during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

• Facilitate or engage in asynchronous online discussions with students.

• Teach and oversee a diverse group of students.

• Promote student engagement, success, and instructional excellence.

• Utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.

• Evaluate all assignments and offer detailed, subject-specific feedback within five days of the due date.

• Respond to student emails and inquiries within 24 hours.

• Interact with students through electronic communications while maintaining a positive and professional tone.

• Keep up-to-date scholarly knowledge in Economics or Mathematics.

• Aid in student recruitment and retention initiatives.

• Follow Tiffin University policies and procedures.

• Assess and support student progress through established courses.

• A Master's degree or higher in the relevant course content area.

• Demonstrated competence in the instructional area.

• Maintain expertise relevant to teaching responsibilities.

• Ability or willingness to learn to manage classes in an online learning environment.

• Stay informed about effective teaching methodologies.

• Teach Economics or Mathematics courses, which may include macroeconomics, microeconomics, college algebra, quantitative reasoning, applied statistics, discrete mathematics, or applied business statistics.
