This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate customer requirements, formulate personalized care strategies, and document actions and results in Cigna's medical management systems.
• Work alongside customers and healthcare providers to set objectives, interventions, and evidence-based care plans.
• Utilize motivational interviewing, behavior change techniques, and shared decision-making to enhance engagement and improve health outcomes.
• Empower customers to navigate the healthcare landscape and effectively communicate with healthcare providers.
• Facilitate care coordination among customers, caregivers, providers, and internal stakeholders through phone and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pharmacists, nutritionists, behavioral health clinicians, Medical Directors, and Medical Management initiatives.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record daily activities, volumes, and outcomes to uphold performance and quality objectives.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and Case Management performance standards.
• Efficiently navigate various systems and applications in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• Complete mandatory training and sustain clinical expertise, licensure, and certifications.
• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state of residence.
• At least two (2) years of full-time direct patient care experience as an RN.
• Prior specialty case management experience is preferred.
• ONCOLOGY experience is preferred for specialty positions.
• Capability to obtain a URAC-recognized Case Management certification within four (4) years of employment.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to assess risks, prioritize care, and make prompt decisions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across phone and digital channels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and online research tools.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts, collaborate with diverse teams, and engage with varied populations.
• Strong organizational abilities, flexibility, and comfort in managing multiple complex cases concurrently.
• Reliable internet connection via a cable broadband or fiber optic service provider with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds for remote work.
