This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +7 more states.
• Deliver clinical education for J&J Innovative Medicine Oncology brands, primarily concentrating on PI-based and disease state education.
• Provide education to non-physician patient care teams, including nurses, nurse navigators, pharmacists, and advanced practice providers.
• Enhance positive experiences for patient care teams and patients.
• Act as a reliable educational resource for both patient care teams and patients.
• Assist patient care teams handling patients with J&J Innovative Medicine Oncology brands through education and approved materials.
• Function as a strategic education leader across academic and community oncology accounts.
• Evaluate account dynamics and clinical challenges to gain insights into customer educational objectives.
• Create strategic educational plans for specific geographic accounts.
• Identify engagement methods and keep track of evolving market educational needs and clinical trends.
• Collaborate in a compliant manner with internal and external partners to implement education plans.
• Provide education to patients via requests from advocacy organizations.
• Cultivate external relationships with patient care teams while managing a specific geographic territory.
• Instruct patient care teams on disease state awareness, patient identification, product clinical profiles, benefits, and administration requirements.
• Deliver one-on-one presentations, round-table discussions, and formal educational programs.
• Train infusion nurses and medical staff regarding infusion processes for new cancer therapies.
• Convey and translate clinical education topics to varied audiences.
• Document and disseminate clinical insights from customer interactions and meetings.
• Shape the local education strategy and formulate strategic account education plans.
• Attend and present clinical information at national, regional, and local gatherings.
• Provide staff support at exhibit booths and displays as necessary.
• Engage in journal clubs, book clubs, and team clinical discussions.
• Develop, execute, and document performance and development plans in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Participate in projects assigned by management.
• Fulfill administrative duties, such as expense reports and activity documentation.
• Support sales training initiatives and enhance the clinical competencies of field personnel.
• Collaborate across sales, marketing, Health Policy & Advocacy, Medical Science Liaisons, Janssen Care Path, and other functions.
• Stay updated on clinical advancements, labeled scientific data, market dynamics, competitive landscape, compliance guidelines, policies, SOPs, and Rules of Engagement.
• Maintain daily documentation of interactions, clinical insights, and customer profile information.
• Attend clinically relevant meetings for ongoing professional development.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An active RN license or Advanced Practice degree (Nurse Practitioner/MSN) is required.
• OCN/AOCN/AOCNS/or AOCNP certification is necessary.
• A minimum of 8 years of work experience is required.
• At least 2 years of post-graduate oncology clinical and/or educational experience is essential.
• Experience with Oncology and/or Hematology products is required.
• Exceptional presentation skills are necessary.
• Ability to navigate and discuss complex clinical data.
• Outstanding collaboration and time management skills are required.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Competence in developing comprehensive account educational plans.
• Ability to analyze clinical insights to influence local education strategy.
• A strong focus on teamwork and the ability to navigate field partner complexities compliantly.
• Above-average computer proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Expected to work a 40-hour week, with the flexibility to extend hours as needed.
• Approximately 70% travel is expected, including overnight trips; additional business travel may be required.
• Air travel, including overnight and weekend trips, may be necessary.
• Capability to lift and transport work materials.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills is a must.
• Must reside in the territory or be willing to relocate there.
• Knowledge or experience with direct-to-patient education initiatives is preferred.
• Previous industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in introducing specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications is a plus.
• A commitment to learning about emerging technologies, such as AI, is preferred.
