This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Drive strategic business growth and collaboration opportunities with prominent U.S. cancer centers, clinics, leading oncology practices, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and academic medical centers (AMCs) within the designated territory.
• Develop strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
• Optimize client-billing contracting opportunities.
• Execute laboratory services agreements with billing account institutions.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and sales personnel to achieve company targets and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential oncology clients and Tempus.
• Advocate for and enhance compliance with web-based molecular information tools.
• Assess the competitive landscape and designated accounts to identify trends and relay customer feedback to leadership.
• Track sales performance against set objectives.
• Create and implement a detailed territory business plan that encompasses budgets, travel, territory management, and goal establishment.
• Collaborate effectively across various departments.
• Represent Tempus’ company culture to both internal and external stakeholders.
• The candidate must reside in the Orlando, FL area.
• Ability to offer an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution utilizing Tempus’s sequencing technology.
• Consultative selling abilities and a knack for overcoming objections.
• Comfortable engaging in sales at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Familiarity with the payer and reimbursement landscape in oncology and diagnostics.
• Capability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage various projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong insight into molecular diagnostics for oncology and the competitive environment.
• Comprehensive market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted therapies.
• Outstanding negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Skills in strategic sales account planning.
• Proficient listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Consistent success in closing deals throughout the sales cycle.

• A B.S. in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing is required; an MBA is preferred.
• 2–3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic environment with proven success.
• 3–5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, integrated healthcare delivery networks (IHDNs), and large oncology practices.
• Proven track record of measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology firm.
