OMS Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the architecture of IBM Sterling OMS for extensive retail and omnichannel projects.

• Engage in order orchestration, inventory management, sourcing, fulfillment, shipping, cancellations, and returns.

• Create solutions that facilitate BOPIS, Ship-from-Store, Ship-from-DC, Ship-to-Store, and curbside fulfillment.

• Architect integrations between Sterling OMS and e-commerce platforms, WMS, ERP, inventory, payment, and store systems.

• Offer technical expertise on Sterling services, APIs, agents, pipelines, extensions, and configurations.

• Define scalable integration solutions utilizing REST/SOAP, XML/JSON, and event-driven methodologies.

• Lead performance enhancement, production issue resolution, and technical design evaluations.

• Mentor Sterling OMS developers while providing technical leadership across both onshore and offshore teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience with IBM Sterling OMS.

• Extensive experience with Sterling OMS versions 9.x/10.x and Sterling Web Store/Web SOM.

• In-depth knowledge of retail and omnichannel order management.

• Strong skills in Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, REST, SOAP, JSON, and SQL.

• Familiarity with Oracle and/or DB2 databases.

• Robust experience in enterprise integration and API architecture.

• Proven track record with at least two full lifecycle implementations of Sterling OMS.

• Comprehensive understanding of order sourcing, inventory management, fulfillment, and returns.

• Experience with large-scale retail or e-commerce platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture is preferred.

• Experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is preferred.

• Experience in leading technical teams that are both onshore and offshore is preferred.
