This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Accept the role of Compliance Officer for the group's entity in Mexico.

• Lead the execution of the local AML/CFT program and liaise with the SAT and UIF.

• Prepare monthly reports, including suspicious activity notices and updates to the registry in the SPPLD.

• Create XML files, validate thresholds, and maintain acknowledgments.

• Conduct due diligence on clients and B2B counterparts.

• Manage and investigate alerts from transactional monitoring in both fiat and blockchain, escalating relevant cases.

• Oversee the collection and preservation of Travel Rule data.

• Support the update of the AML/CFT Manual, EBR, training, and remediation plans.

• Address requirements from the SAT/UIF, including verification visits and external audits.

• Utilize generative AI tools to analyze regulations, review documentation, and automate compliance operational tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in AML/CFT in Mexico, preferably within obligated entities of Vulnerable Activities (LFPIORPI).

• Must reside in Mexico.

• Hold a valid RFC and e.firma to accept the designation on the SPPLD portal.

• Current UIF certification and prior experience as a compliance officer or manager (desirable).

• Experience in virtual assets or fintech.

• Solid and up-to-date knowledge of LFPIORPI, its Regulations, applicable General Rules, and Agreement 115/2026.

• Proven experience in preparing and submitting notices to the SAT via the SPPLD portal, including monthly notices, zero notices, suspicious activity notices, and handling XML formats.

• Proficient in database management and advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with transactional monitoring tools and case management systems.

• Experience in due diligence: KYC/KYB, beneficial owners, PEPs, and list screening.

• Ability to assess results from generative AI tools and safeguard confidential information.
