Offshore Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections of wire ropes utilizing Magnetic Rope Testing techniques.

• Accurately prepare and finalize inspection reports within designated timelines.

• Set up, install, and commission equipment on-site.

• Operate and maintain LPD, cutting, pump equipment, and winch systems.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, disassemble, rebuild, test, and report on hydraulic and electrical equipment.

• Interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively.

• Uphold safety and compliance standards, which include the use of PPE, conducting risk assessments, performing pre-start checks, and reporting incidents.

• Engage professionally with clients on-site and represent the company effectively.

• Comprehend client needs and foster productive working relationships.

• Identify equipment issues, propose modifications, and contribute to future work scopes through detailed reporting.

• Be prepared for international travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in Magnetic Rope Testing is essential.

• Knowledge of wire rope applications.

• Certification in Wire Rope Inspection.

• A recognized apprenticeship or qualification, ideally in a Hydraulic, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline.

• Offshore Survival and Medical Certification.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines, whether independently or as part of a team.

• Additional certifications such as GWO Training, Rigger Stage 1, Working at Height, and Seamans Card or Book are advantageous.

• Supervisory experience is beneficial.

• Willingness and capability to undertake international travel.
