Office Support, Sample Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Assist in the efficient and precise functioning of a high-speed laboratory

• Welcome clients, vendors, and visitors while addressing general inquiries

• Retrieve samples from the on-site drop-off box

• Unpack incoming shipments and document the receipt of samples

• Arrange and log samples systematically

• Input data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

• Ensure the department and laboratory are well-maintained, including restocking supplies and upholding housekeeping standards

• Provide customer service support and manage walk-in clients

• Execute all tasks safely and efficiently

• Process daily mail and small shipments of bottle kits

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Additional education in biological or chemical sciences is preferred

• Experience in a dynamic work setting

• Laboratory experience and familiarity with the environmental sector is advantageous

• TALS experience is a valuable asset

• Proficient in computer usage, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Self-driven, adaptable, and possessing a positive attitude

• Ability to manage moderate stress in a fast-paced setting

• Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills

• Competence in prioritizing tasks

• Strong customer service skills

• A science-oriented background is preferred

• Must reside within a commutable distance to Ayer, MA

• Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship

• Professional proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
