Office Operations Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct welcome calls to new patients and their families, ensuring a positive initial experience while introducing available services.

• Reach out to patients who were discharged more than 31 days ago to nurture relationships and evaluate if further services are necessary.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions while upholding confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Relay patient information, along with any additional needs or concerns, to the clinical team.

• Deliver compassionate and professional customer service during all patient engagements.

• Execute special projects and other ad hoc tasks that support business operations.

• Observe the work of nurses, therapists, sales, and administrative staff to gain insights into home health and hospice operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled high school student (preferably in junior or senior year).

• Genuine interest in healthcare administration, home health, and/or hospice care.

• Must be reliable, responsible, and maintain a professional demeanor.

• Proficient in using computers and phones for basic tasks.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, totaling 20-25 hours per week.

• Capability to uphold confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
