Odia Transcriber – AI Voice Data Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accurately transcribe conversational audio in Odia script (ଓଡ଼ିଆ) with precision.

• Maintain the integrity of fillers, repetitions, stutters, false starts, and natural speech patterns.

• Manage Odia-English/Hindi code-switching, regional dialects, and colloquial expressions.

• Identify and label unintelligible speech, overlapping dialogue, background noise, and other audio complications.

• Adhere to project-specific transcription and formatting standards.

• Achieve a transcription accuracy of 97% or higher and meet designated turnaround times (TATs).

• Review and amend work according to quality assurance (QA) or reviewer feedback.

• Complete a 2–3 minute skill test in Odia transcription.

• Engage in evaluation and shortlisting processes, sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), and participate in onboarding and production assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Odia, with outstanding reading and writing abilities.

• Preferred 1–3+ years of experience in transcription, subtitling, captioning, speech annotation, or related fields.

• Strong typing skills in Odia; a typing speed of 40+ words per minute is preferred.

• Excellent auditory skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Comfortable working with natural, unscripted conversations featuring multiple speakers.

• Experience with multilingual or code-switched audio is a plus.

• A laptop or desktop computer, reliable internet connection, and high-quality headphones are required.

• Candidates must sign an NDA prior to accessing project audio and transcription materials.

• A 2–3 minute skill test in Odia transcription must be completed.
