This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement and oversee descriptive epidemiological studies that characterize disease incidence and prevalence across the US, EU, Asia, and emerging market regions.
• Manage and execute research projects that analyze medical claims, electronic health records, and prospective observational cohort studies.
• Provide safety research support throughout the Amgen product life cycle.
• Assist in the development of risk management plans.
• Lead pharmacovigilance studies.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews.
• Prepare research reports and scientific manuscripts.
• Stay updated on advancements in observational research and drug development.
• Enhance awareness, comprehension, and application of observational research methodologies.
• Convey critical scientific information to diverse audiences.
• Contribute as a primary or co-author to peer-reviewed articles, scientific conference abstracts, or internal documentation.
• Doctorate degree, OR Master’s degree with 3 years of scientific experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of scientific experience, OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of scientific experience, OR high school diploma/GED with 12 years of scientific experience.
• A doctorate in Epidemiology or a related field with substantial observational research content is preferred.
• Proven experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing observational research studies within pharmaceutical or public health contexts is preferred.
• Experience in supporting drug development research is preferred.
• Familiarity with secondary data systems, including administrative claims, EMR, and registries is preferred.
• Background in observational research project planning and management is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities are preferred.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
• Background in rare disease research and/or inflammation therapeutic areas is preferred.
