Nursing Curriculum Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the leadership of Hondros College of Nursing, Subject Matter Experts, and Instructional Designers to create and enhance nursing courses and curricula.

• Provide design support to faculty members and SMEs to establish effective and engaging learning environments based on student learning outcomes.

• Identify course objectives and evidence-based instructional strategies that comply with relevant Board of Nursing, HLC, CNEA, and other standards.

• Lead the creation and upkeep of courses within the School of Nursing.

• Utilize instructional design principles and quality assessment methods to develop pedagogically sound learning interactions.

• Design assessments that demonstrate the attainment of course competencies and end-of-program student learning outcomes.

• Conduct training sessions and informative workshops for nursing leadership and faculty on curriculum development, mapping, crosswalks, and assessments.

• Ensure that newly developed and revised courses incorporate current information, resources, and textbooks, while seeking external validation.

• Coordinate the creation of functional and sustainable instructional materials that align with educational objectives, content, and activities.

• Integrate Board of Nursing regulations and AACN The Essentials competencies into the curricula.

• Map NTF Standards for Nurse Practitioners, AONL Nurse Executive Competencies, and NLN Core Competencies for Nurse Educators within the curricula.

• Develop timelines for course revisions in collaboration with the Instructional Design team.

• Maintain a directory of subject matter experts across various programs.

• Serve as a curricular expert, guiding the utilization of available resources.

• Support the commitment of Hondros College of Nursing to diversity and inclusion.

• Perform additional duties as requested, directed, and assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience as a nurse.

• A Master of Science in Nursing or a related field is required.

• An active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Ohio is required.

• CNE certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with various State Boards of Nursing approval requirements.

• Knowledge of NCSBN testing guidelines, expectations, and detailed test plans.

• Understanding of nursing programmatic accreditation.

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills, are required.
