This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Coordinate and provide services for patient support programs at Sentrex Health Solutions.
• Oversee all elements of program support and serve as the main point of contact for assigned healthcare providers.
• Ensure patients have access to support programs and their prescribed medications.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and healthcare professionals to secure medication coverage and manage patient cases.
• Conduct registration activities for healthcare providers and patients.
• Execute relevant data-entry tasks.
• Respond to telephone and web-based inquiries regarding program services, disease states, and products.
• Offer medical support and education on diseases, therapies, and disease management strategies.
• Participate in specialized training sessions for specific therapies.
• Provide inbound and outbound telephone support, maintenance calls, and adherence assistance.
• Implement case-management protocols, which include clinical monitoring, data collection, follow-ups, compliance checks, monitoring therapy disruptions/discontinuations, and reporting adverse events.
• Collaborate with reimbursement specialists and physicians to secure funding for therapy and explore alternative funding options.
• Attend patient meetings and conferences as necessary.
• Identify and report adverse events to the Manufacturer and Med Info, and input them into source and third-party systems within required timeframes.
• Coordinate patient services and resolve issues by liaising with physicians’ offices, pharmacies, infusion/injection service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Engage in continuing education activities.
• Create training materials and programs for new team members in patient support programs.
• Enroll patients and conduct essential follow-ups.
• Advocate for patients and healthcare providers through enrollment processes, coverage renewals, changes in patient journeys, and reimbursement assistance.
• Review, analyze, and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
• Schedule appropriate next steps to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Follow up and advocate until coverage decisions are obtained.
• Document adverse events in accordance with pharmacovigilance standards.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the manager.
• Must hold an RN or RPN designation in good standing with the College of Nurses in their respective province.
• Experience in Patient Support Programs is required.
• Knowledge of reimbursement processes to secure coverage for patients is an asset.
• Experience in Neurology is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and stakeholders.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday during standard office hours, with flexibility between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm EST.
