NOC Infrastructure Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Deliver operational support for a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment that manages Linux and Windows-based systems.

• Operate, maintain, and oversee Linux and Windows systems that support production activities.

• Conduct data backup and recovery operations.

• Monitor, manage, and uphold the performance of Linux and Windows servers and applications.

• Develop and sustain environment-specific operating procedures and documentation.

• Create, manage, and oversee user accounts and group memberships within Active Directory.

• Execute daily system monitoring to ensure system integrity, availability, and the successful completion of scheduled jobs and backups.

• Define, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming support requests.

• Administer and monitor cloud-based infrastructure and managed services.

• Design, maintain, and utilize automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.

• Assist in patch management within Linux and Windows environments.

• Create and maintain documentation related to operations, configuration, and knowledge bases.

• Lead shift operations when necessary.

• Participate in a rotating shift schedule within a 24/7 production environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

• Experience in supporting production infrastructure within a 24/7 operational setting.

• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.

• Experience with monitoring systems and applications in production settings.

• Practical knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IP networking, and network troubleshooting.

• Experience administering Microsoft infrastructure technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Security.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.

• Experience in developing automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries and database troubleshooting.

• Experience in web server administration and configuration.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools like Nagios, Datadog, Jira, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

• Experience in managing incidents, documenting resolutions, and adhering to operational procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
